FIRE SERVICES LIFTS BURNING BAN, OFFERS CREDIT

V.I. Fire Marshal Glen Francis lifted the temporary ban on burning Friday and said persons holding burning permits can take them to the Fire Services offices to get credit for the days during which the ban was in effect.
Francis also announced that the Fire Services Prevention Unit on St. Thomas has moved from Estate Thomas by Mandela Circle to No. 15 Crown Bay, the former V.I. Maritime Building, behind the Addelita Cancryn Junior High School. Until telephone service is switched to the new location, he said, those wishing to contact the unit should call the main Fire Services number, 774-1211.
