RADIO CLUB ASSISTED BY KNIGHT QUALITY STATIONS

Knight Quality Stations of the Virgin Islands has made a donation of broadcast equipment to the University of the Virgin Islands that will assist in UVI’s re-development of its radio club.
Mark Bastin, General Manager of KQS said in making the presentation to the club members and UVI faculty advisors, "We are proud to enhance the ability of the UVI radio club and in so doing, have the opportunity to positively effect the next generation of local broadcasters.
Chief Engineer Ron Hall said the new equipment includes microphones, a compact mixing console, compact disc players, cassette decks and all the inter-
connecting cables necessary to make the equipment operational. The equipment is valued at $2,500.
For the past year, UVI Radio Club members have sharpened their skills by hosting the "Leona!" program on Radio One Friday afternoons 2-4 p.m.
Knight Quality Stations operates three V-I broadcast facilities: WVWI Radio One, WVJZ 105 JAMZ and St. John’s only licensed stations, WWKS, KISS 101.3 FM.
