PMP RAID NETS ONE ARREST

A pre-dawn law enforcement anti-drug operation in the Paul M. Pearsons Gardens Housing Community has netted one arrest. WVWI Radio One quoted unnamed sources today as confirming that the contingent of law enforcement personnel were in the public housing community early Wednesday morning to execute a search warrant.
The agents arrested Dean Smith, a resident of the community, on drug possession charges. Sources told Radio One that an undetermined amount of marijuana was allegedly found in his apartment. Smith is reportedly a resident of the PMP Cooperative, a homeownership program within the public housing community.
The operation was led by the Narcotics Strike Force with reinforcement provided by Virgin Islands Police, V.I. Housing Authority Police and agents of the
Drug Enforcement Administration.
Details on bail information were not immediately available.
