Administrative Leave for Non-Essential Government Employees on Nov. 29

In anticipation of the Thanksgiving holiday, Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. has declared administrative leave for all non-essential government employees on Friday, Nov. 29.
“As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in our community. I hope we all embrace the spirit of gratitude during this time, appreciating what we have and sharing with those who are less fortunate,” said Gov. Bryan.
He encouraged residents to reflect on the importance of kindness and community support during holiday shopping. “As you go out on Friday, I urge you to consider your fellow Virgin Islanders—your neighbors and colleagues. Let’s extend a helping hand when we can and embrace the joy of giving. I am grateful to all of you who contribute daily to the progress and goodness of our home,” Gov. Bryan concluded.
The Bryan-Roach Administration is investing in the territory’s people, infrastructure and future through transparency, stabilizing the economy, restoring trust in the government and ensuring that recovery projects are completed as quickly as possible. Visittransparency.vi.gov.
