
On Thursday, Jan. 24, Dylan George Johnson died at the age of 42 in Tampa, Fla.
Dylanโs story began on Thursday, Jan. 28, 1977, in May Pen, Jamaica.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Margaret Newman, and dad, Aston Johnson.
Dylan will be forever remembered by his wife, Alyssa Johnson; children: Abigail and Dylan Johnson Jr.; aunts: Joan Douglas, Vashti Smith and E. Newman, also known as Aunt B; uncle, Obert Newman; cousins: Pastor William Newman, Desmond Smith and Evron Fairclough; in-laws: Gladys and Allen Niles Sr.; brothers-in-law: Allen Niles Jr. and Glenroy Niles; special friends: Pastor Glenroy Whyte, Pastor Heath Charles and Nicholson Alcendor as well as church families such as the St. Thomas Community Baptist Church and the North Side Baptist Church in Tampa, Fla.
Dylan will also be remembered by the Home Depot family here on St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and in Tampa, Fla.
A celebration of Dylan George Johnsonโs life was held Saturday, Feb. 16, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Anna’s Retreat, with Pastor Nigel Commodore officiating. The only viewing began at 10 a.m. with service immediately following at 11 a.m. Interment was at Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay, and repast at the St. Thomas Community Baptist Church, St. Thomas, V.I.
It is requested that festive shades of blue be worn.
