Brief: Workshops Will Train Government Employees in Customer Service

Feb. 12, 2008 — A series of workshops next week will provide customer-service training to government employees.
The workshops, called "Remind Me Why I Took This Job" and hosted by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, will take place on both St. Thomas and St. Croix. Dr. Sean Joyce, a nationally recognized consultant and author, will lead the sessions.
"When I took office as the lieutenant governor of the Virgin Islands, I committed to improving the customer-service product that this government offers to the people — the customers of the Virgin Islands," Francis said, according to a news release from his office. "Every government worker must realize that there is great value in providing government service."
The St. Croix sessions will take place Feb. 19 and 20 in the second-floor cabinet room at Government House. Workshops on St. Thomas will take place Feb. 21 and 22 at the Benjamin Auditorium at the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute. For more information, contact the Office of the Lieutenant Governor at 340-773-6449, ext. 3403.
