It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Lloyd Alphonso Stridiron, affectionally known as “Sonny”, “Rooster” or “Rasem”.

Lloyd departed this life on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025 in Macon, Georgia at the age of 75. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Anna Stridiron, sisters Jeanette “Mumsie” Stridiron and Vera S. Brady and brothers: Leal A. Stridiron and Anthony C. “ Tooney” or “Gala” Stridiron, Sr. and great nieces and nephews, Debbie Callwood, Laurelie Leonard, Paul Joseph, Emile “Tonka” Benjamin.
He is survived by his daughter Rashemah Stridiron, his sisters: Jennifer S. Johnson, Miranda Jones, Mary Stridiron, and Berecia Francis Brother, Layton, “Junie” or Bun-Up” Stridiron, Sr., and Aunt, Muriel Jackson.
Nieces: Lauriel “Lorie” Leonard, Parmis” Kathy” Kean-Johnson, Angelique “Angie” Joseph, Paula Farrington Crawford, Alma “AC” Johnson, Averricia Stridiron, Jolanda Stridiron, Jennifer Stridiron, Latoya Stridiron, Anneka Stridiron, Maryisha Stridiron, Kishma Stridiron
Special great nieces: Princess Farrington, Aniquewae Callwood and Lornnesha Henley.
Nephews: Lionel Farrington, Sr., Aubrey Callwood, Jr., Robert “Mamba” Stridiron, James, “Jimmy” Pemberton, Clifton “Shotgun” Johnson, Rudolph “Rudy” Wade, Micheal “Mikey” Wade, Jr., Wakemo “Kimo” Wade, Anthony Stridiron, Jr., Javon Stridiron, Shayne Brady, Quirt “Lil Pete” Stevens, Chad Stridiron, Layton “BJ” Stridiron, Jr., Kevin “Ninja Kev” Stridiron, and Raheem Stridiron,
Special great nephews: Lionel “Heffy” Farrington, Marcus Farrington, Jaleel and Kaleel Rivera, Raseem Crawford, 15 great nephews and 23 great-great nieces and nephews. Care givers: Miranda Jones, Paula Crawford, Raseem Crawford and Rose Dove.
He is also survived by the horse owners and workers at Clinton Phipps Race Track. Extended families: Stridiron, Johnson, Jones, Crawford, Farrington, Brady, Callwood, Rivera, Jackson, Roberts, Powell, Anderson, Joseph, Ifill, and Watley.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service for Lloyd Alphonso “Sonny”, “Rooster” or “Rasem” Stridiron that will be held at Celestial Chapel of Dan Hurley Home for Funerals on Saturday, March 28 at 10 a.m. Interment at Western Cemetery Number one.
