Police Arrest St. Croix Man After Reported Assault

A 47-year-old man was arrested after an adult woman reported being verbally and physically assaulted late Jan. 5 in Estate La Grande Princess on St. Croix, the Virgin Islands Police Department reported.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau responded to the area around 11:01 p.m. and met with an adult female who reported she was assaulted by Brandon Wilson, police said. The victim sustained visible injuries to her face, neck and hands.

Wilson, who was at the scene, was transported to the Criminal Investigation Bureau, advised of his rights and provided a statement, police said. He was arrested and booked on an assault second charge.

No bail was set pending a court appearance under domestic violence law. Wilson was remanded to the John A. Bell Correctional Facility and is scheduled for an advice of rights hearing Feb. 9 in Superior Court, police said.
