The Magens Bay Authority ย strongly discouraged swimming during this time. Lifeguards ย will not be available to provide assistance. Anyone who chooses to enter the water does so at their own risk.

Over the next 24 hours, the Magens Bay Authorityโ€™s management and staff will continue to monitor beach conditions closely to determine when normal operations may safely resume, said Monique Simon, the authority’s general manager.

โ€œThe safety and well-being of our beachgoers remain our top priority,โ€ Simon said. โ€œWe are committed to safeguarding our beaches and will resume normal operations as soon as conditions improve.โ€
