Man Arrested After Threats at Wife’s Workplace

A St. Croix man was arrested after police said he threatened to shoot his estranged wife and her employer in violation of a restraining order, the Virgin Islands Police Department reported.

VIPD said Myron Fox, 45, was present at his estranged wife’s place of employment on Jan. 15 and made repeated threats toward her and her employer. At the time, Fox had been served with a Superior Court restraining order prohibiting any direct or indirect contact with his estranged wife and barring him from coming within 200 feet of her, according to the police report.

Fox was located at his residence on Jan. 30 by officers from the Special Operations Bureau and placed under arrest, according to the release. He was charged with contempt, constituting the crime of domestic violence and disturbance of the peace, dv, the police report stated.

No bail was set, and Fox was remanded to the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility pending his advise of rights hearing, the report stated.
