The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority is advising the public of a scheduled electrical service interruption on Feeders 1A and 2A on Saturday, December 6, from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Approximately 1,020 customers on Feeder 1A and 3,005 customers on Feeder 2A will be affected in the following areas:
Christiansted Town, Hotel on the Cay , De Chabert Housing, Richmond, Pink Fancy Hotel, Water Gut, D.H. Jackson Terrace, WJKC, All for the Better, Anna’s Hope, Castle Nugent, Coakley Bay, Cotton Valley, Eliza’s Retreat, Gallows Bay, Lowry Hill, Marienhoj, Union Mt. Washington, Sally’s Fancy, Solitude, Southgate, Southside of Christiansted Town, Tipperary, Turner’s Hole, Richmond, Welcome – Tide Village, WJKC Radio Transmitter, and WSTX Studios.
This planned outage will give contractors time to safely make roof repairs near Crucian Gold, while WAPA crews carry out important maintenance on power equipment for downtown customers.
WAPA encourages affected customers to plan accordingly and appreciates the community’s understanding as crews complete these necessary improvements safely and efficiently.
