Rupert Sylvester Davis, aka “Gully/ Birdy” of Estate St. John, passed away on June 20. He was 75 years old.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Agatha Samuel; father, Emile Davis; brothers, Stanford Whyte, Austin Burnett, and Glenmore Burnett.
He is survived by his daughter, Delorine Davis; grandchild, Justin Davis; sisters, Violet Samuel aka Alice, Sheron Samuel aka Jacquilyn; brothers, Eurell Henry, Freeston Henry, Charlesworth Samuel aka Edmond; caregiver and cousin, Mizie Jackson aka Dorcas and caregiver Wayne aka Africa; special friends, pastors and members of the Christiansted Seventh Day Adventist family, Carol Atwell, Phillip aka Livey; cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as other precious relatives and special friends too numerous to mention. Acknowledgement to Dr. Lackram and staff at Med Surge, Dr. Lake and staff at Emergency Care, Kimberly and dialysis staff.
The funeral service will be held on July 13 at the Christiansted Seventh Day Adventist Church. Viewing will begin at 9 am, and the service will be at 10 am. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery. Repass will be held at Hope SDA Church in Mon Bijou.
