Clifton Hill Connector Road Project Nearly Complete

The Department of Public Works is pleased to update the community on the ongoing progress of the Clifton Hill Connector Road Project. The final phase of the original contract scope is nearing completion. To date, 16 concrete bases for streetlight poles have been successfully installed. Crews are now preparing for the next step โ€” the installation of the poles and arms, which are currently en route. Additionally, roadway striping is actively underway.

As part of the expanded project scope, streetlight poles have also been ordered for the Melvin Evans Highway. These poles are scheduled to arrive on St. Croix in early July. Striping work is also in progress along the highway, enhancing safety and visibility for motorists.

Flaggers will be on-site to assist motorists as they navigate through the area. The Department of Public Works appreciates the community’s patience as it works to improve road conditions throughout the territory.
