Armed Robbers Steal Two Vehicles in Broad Daylight on St. John

Two separate vehicle robberies committed by armed, masked suspects in a dark-colored Acura sedan are under investigation by the Virgin Islands Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau.

According to the VIPD, the first incident occurred around 10:48 a.m. Monday near Annaberg Plantation. As victims prepared to leave the area, two masked men armed with firearms approached them and demanded their vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Later that same day, another male and female in the Haulover area were similarly robbed at gunpoint by two masked suspects driving what appeared to be the same vehicle, VIPD reported.

Both stolen vehicles were later recovered and returned to their owners. No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made at this time, police said.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211, or Crime Stoppers V.I. at 800-222-8477.
