It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Davis Matthias Gumbs, a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and amazing grandfather who transitioned peacefully at home on May 19, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Neuvie Gumbs; Siblings: Pastor Cyril Gumbs, Hewlett Gumbs, Gloria Smith, and Amos Gumbs.
He is survived by his three loving children, Merida V. Gumbs, Minova V. Gumbs-Cherival and Malvern V. The first viewing will take place from 4 p.m to 6 p.m on Monday, June 16, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory Services. The second viewing will take place from 9 a.m to 10 a.m on Tuesday, June 17 with service beginning 10:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church, Interment is at Eastern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
