Jose Reyes Melendez a.k.a. “Che Reyes” of Clifton Hill, transitioned into eternal life on March 4. He was 86 years old.

Reyes; sisters, Eugenia Reyes, Carmen Navarro; brothers, Juan Reyes, Diego Reyes; nephews, Juan Reyes, Jr., Diego Reyes. He is survived by his companion, Francisca Carrasquillo de Reyes; daughters, Sandra I. Reyes, Wanda J. Reyes; stepdaughter, Maria Martinez; sons, Juan Jose Reyes; stepson, Juan C. Guadalupe; grandchildren, Lisa Reyes, Subbia Mazawi, Nayoshe Reyes, Destiny Torres, Luscelenia Torres, Raheem Burte, Mudiwa Joseph, Shanice Samedy, Messiah Reyes, Lamar Torres, Isaac Torres, Osiris Romero Magras, Athena Rose Magras; great-grandchildren, Athena Rose Magras, Jadialis Romos, Jahsiah, Jahnyla, Jondaya, Alauna; sisters, Gloria Reyes, Antonia Reyes; brothers, Jesus Reyes, Pedro Reyes; nieces Raquel, Carmen, Gladys, Vilma, Angela, Lucy, Gina, Maria, Nancy, Chabela, Adrina; nephew, Jesus Reyes, Daniel Reyes, Pablo Reyes, Manuel Reyes, Diego Reyes Jr., Gabriel Reyes, son-in-law, Chad Martinez, brothers-in-law, Enrique & Carmelo; sisters-in-law, Gladys & Natividad; special friends, Felix Carrasquillo; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Funeral service will be held on March 25 at James Memorial Chapel. Viewing will begin at 10 am with service at 11 am. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
