Norma Iris Acosta Dies

It is with deep sadness that we announce that Norma Iris Acosta of Flamboyant Gardens transitioned into her eternal rest on Nov. 4, 2024 after a brief illness.

She is survived by: Zulma Melendez, Rodney, Annette, & Fay Felix, Daniel Torres, and Shamelle Morton. Son in law Abel Melendez, daughters in law Raquel Felix, Alejandra Torres. Grandchildren Nayson Melendez, Anaylie Miranda, Emmanuel Melendez, Mario Melendez, Jose Melendez and Jaeliz Melendez. Nikki Felix, Rodney Felix Jr., Aleeyah & Craig Oneal, Oliver Hardy Jr., Anthony, Tevin, & Anissa Charlesย Daniel, Danielle, Anaise & Adrian Torres, great grandchildren: Mireliz & Asiel Miranda, Gabriela Sanes, Nayeli & Emilina Melendez, Elijah Melendez, Noemi Estel Mateo, Bailey Carter , Aiden, Adrian, and Alaia Charles.ย  Sisters, Nilsa Solis, Luz Maldonado, Wanda Deleon-Rosario, Liz Yolanda Deleon. Brothers, Oscar Cordero, Angel Alejandro, Pedro Alejandro & Jose Santiago. Brother-in-law Antonio Rosario, Sisters in law, Maria Carrion, Laura Cordero, Maria Beras, Aurora Alejandro, Lola Santiago. Nieces and Nephews: Milagros, Eddie & Sandra Cordero, Angel jr., Angela, Jose and Tariq Alejandro, Emmanuel, Loida, Eliezer & Pedro Alejandro Jr., Luis (Lugan) Ballantine, Maria Figueroa, Anef, Anandi, Dalwin & Hansen Pennyfeather, Priscilla, Jonathan & Betsaida Santiago, Erika, Dolores & Carlos Ventura, Kira Joseph, Carl Joseph & Michael Rosario, Orliz & Vicente Espiritusanto. Her church family, Flamboyant Gardens family, Special friends: Lucy Rosa, Tiffany Bradshaw, Louisa Joseph, Judith Velasquez & Cheryl Leonce.

She was preceded in death by her mother Juaquina Lebron Ventura. Family and friends too numerous to mention.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place on Jan. 31 at Zion Pentecostal Church on Hess Road from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Internment will be attended by family members only at Kingshill Cemetery.
