He is survived by hisย daughters Diane Donovan and Nichole Saunders,ย son David Donovan III,ย stepson Rafael Harrigan,ย sisters Lenore Donovan, Delight Donovan-Harrigan, Gaile Cogdell, Rochelle Jackson-Todman and Denise J Christian,ย aunt Mavis Brady,ย uncle Guy Donovan,ย nephewsย  Justin Harrigan Jr, Donne Donovan Jr, Addae Donovan, Husani Donovan, Ronald Anderson and Virgil Wells,ย nieces Charisse Wells, Jeanette Harrigan and Racquel Wells,ย granddaughters Cherrelle Battiste, Chervaunteโ€™ Lewis, Shirika Donovan, Sherissa Corneiro, Shiriah Corneiro, Shelissa Corneiro, Shiryah Corneiro, Tyala Murrell, Daโ€™Shanna Donovan and Daโ€™Nejah Donovan,ย grandsons Davin James and Raul Corneiro Jr.,ย great granddaughters Melody Forbes and Sadeya White,ย great grandsons Sharmol Paul Jr and Shamari Paul,ย great niecesย Danielle Wells, Kamilah Jarvis, Meah Donovan, Melody Donovan, Arianna Thomas, Tiyahni Harrigan, LaNayah Harrigan, Jaylah Harrigan, Lailah Harrigan, LoveleeStorm Thompson, Denishir Donovan and Zaalee Donovan,ย great nephews Sean Wells, Dimitrios Reitivause, Troy Thomas, Jordan Wells, Maliek Harrigan, Taliek Harrigan, Machi Harrigan, Jaheem Harrigan, Malahki Harrigan, Jahsauni Thompson, Keysauni Thompson and Husani Donovan Jr.,ย and mother in lawย Ursela Dawson, as well as his special cousinsย Dave Donovan, Randolph โ€œRandyโ€ Donovan Sr and Lucretia โ€œLucieโ€ Donovan,ย and a host of loving family and friends too numerous to mention.

He was preceded in death by his brother Donne Donovan.

Funeral Services for the late David A. Donovan will be held on,ย Friday, Jan. 17. The viewing will be at 9 a.m. with a service at 10 a.m at the Lutheran Church of Reformation.

Interment: Eastern Cemetery in Smith Bay.
