Update: Homicide Suspects in Custody

On Friday, Carlos Ayala, 19 years old, and Casey Rivera, 35 years old, turned themselves in to the CIB detectives, the V.I. Police Department reported.

They were both wanted for the homicide of 19-year-old Errol St. Jean on Oct. 25 in the Walter I.M. Hodge Housing Community in Frederiksted, according to the police report.

Bail was set at $1 million. Unable to post bail, they were both remanded to the John H. Bell Correctional Facility, pending their advice of rights hearing on Monday.

The Virgin Islands Police Department is actively looking for two men who are wanted for first-degree murder on St. Croix.

The VIPD is asking the community to report any sightings or whereabouts of 19-year-old Carlos Ayala and his uncle, 36-year-old Casey Rivera.

Both men are considered armed and dangerous. Ayala and Rivera are known to frequent the Walter I. M. Hodge Housing Community and Marley Housing in Frederiksted on St. Croix.
If you know the whereabouts or have seen either of these men, please call 911.
The VIPD reminds the public that anyone who knowingly harbors a fugitive is guilty of a crime and is punishable by law.
