Sisters Juanita T. Espinosa and Mercedes I. Espinosa Arlin Die

The family of Juanita T. Espinosa  and Mercedes I. Espinosa Arlin, affectionately known by family and friends as Tita and Cede, announce their passing on Sept. 6 and Sept. 30.

Tita and Cede lived and worked together for most of their adult lives. They owned and operated their own businesses for more than 40 years, including Cede’s Hairdressers in Peter’s Rest. 

They were preceded in death by their parents, Pedro Espinosa Almestica and Margrethe Pedersen Espinosa, and their siblings, Magarita Rodriguez Noble, Constance Espinosa Roberts, Violet Espinosa Roebuck, and Pedro Peder Espinosa. 

Tita is survived by her son, Robert Rossi, daughter-in-law Sonia Rossi, grandsons Richard Alfonso, Dante Rossi, and Jose Rossi, and granddaughter Chloe Rossi .

Both Cede and Tita are survived by their uncle Julio Espinosa, sister, Marie Louise Espinosa Gallivan, and sister-in-law, Mary Espinosa.  They are also survived by nieces and nephews: Marise James, Danielle Ruth, Stacey Espinosa, Lana Lopez, Angelo Espinosa, Rona Roberts, Robert Roberts, Monica Gallivan Couch, Jessica Gallivan, Cory Gallivan, David Cover, Wayne Moorehead, Harold Roebuck III, Carlos Roebuck, Venecia Roebuck Wenze, Gisette Roebuck Korman, Nikki Espinosa-Scott, Pedro Espinosa, Jr., Jonathan Espinosa, Abigail Espinosa, Vivian Valls, Sandra Valls, Vaughn Valls, Camilo Valls, Lena Valls, Ricardo Valls, Mindy Valls . Great-nieces on St. Croix include Camille Paul, Sydney Paul, and Kari Currence, other great nieces and nephews living in the states, members of the Pedersen, Golden and Espinosa families, as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. 

A joint service will be held on November 21, 2024, at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Estate Barren Spot with the eulogy and tributes at 9:00 a.m.  followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will be at the Christiansted Cemetery.
