Vernon E. Thomas has died.
Vernon E. Thomas was preceded in death by Cynthia Thomas; parents: Agatha Thomas and Luvie Phipps; brothers: Bernard and Frederick Phipps; sisters: Violet Liddy and Alicent Thomas Wyre; grandson, Jamal Blyden; and niece, Venetta Liddy.
There will be a first viewing held from 4-6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 20, at Blyden Memorial Chapel.
A second viewing wo be held at 10.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.
Vernon E. Thomas is survived by his children: Paulette Thomas-Blyden, Vera Thomas-Richards, Dorpha Thomas, Rutvon “Sydney” Thomas, Alston “Tex” Thomas and Kurt “Mucho” Thomas; siblings: Delton Matthew Thomas, Leonard Thomas, Sydney Phipps and Leslie Phipps; grandchildren: Cleavon Vernon Thomas, Roshimo Blyden, Jamelia Blyden, Cristal Fredericks, Elvis Fredericks Jr., Tiquan Daley, Erica Thomas, Kurt Liburd, St. Cleare Richards, Claire Richards, Vera Richards, Myrtle Richards and Cynthia Richards, Delanny Thomas, Arianna Thomas, Aniqua Thomas, Kurt Thomas, Jr., Glen Thomas, Lequan Thomas, Kavisha Freeman and D’Sean Thomas;
