With a heavy heart, we announce that retired educator from the John H Woodson Jr High School, Daniel “Rudy” Caines known as Mr. Caines or “Bull Head” to his pupils, passed away on September 5, 2024.

Funeral Arrangements are set for October 5, 2024, at the Holy Cross Church in Estate Upper Love (next to Annaly Farms). The Viewing will start at 9 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m.

He is survived by:

Joicelyn Greene (spouse), Carmen Swinton, Rhodni Gardner, Ryan and Riisa Caines (children), Nicole and Franklyn Greene and Arika Semper (adopted children), Najeem Woodley, Jahlahnee Ratchford, Natalia, Troshaun, Greycin, and Oโ€™shea Gardner, Jeremiah and Gianna Caines (grandchildren), Leilani, Jalahnee, Nyelle, Noah, Nora, King and Jamari Ratchford (great grandchildren), Catherine Caines-Lauder, Hilary Caines and Barbara Issac (nieces), Winston, Jane and Collymore Caines, Caines and Hewlett family in St. Kitts and Mills family in St. Croix and St. Thomas (cousins), Errol Berkeley, Winston Solomon, David Rossington, John Gumbs- Blackie, Norman Edwards Jr., Eulander Carr, Juliet Henry, Joy Christian, Milva James, Fathi Yusuf and Family- Plaza East, Neville Paul, Joycelyn Gumbs, Jahasaki Benjamin, Carolyn Roach, James Morton, Carl Christensen, Chester Williams, Bernett Stancliff, Hugh Clarke, Ineta Brown, Geneveve Allen, Ruth Martin, Reverend Doward and Holy Cross Church Membersโ€“ Upper Love and many more (special friends).
