One dead, One Injured in Vehicle Collision

A one-vehicle collision left one dead Friday in St. Croix at the eastern entrance of the Christiansted Cemetery, the V.I. Police Department reported.

At approximately 1:09 a.m., the Virgin Islands Territorial Management Agency (911), called out members of the Traffic Investigation Bureau to investigate a one-vehicle collision with major injuries, according to the police report.

Upon arrival at the scene, members of Fire and Rescue determined there were two individuals in the vehicle. They were identified as Shannon Grey, a female passenger, and Bobbe Lee Parker, a male driver. The driver was removed from the vehicle and taken to the Juan F. Luis Hospital Emergency Room for medical treatment. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, the report stated.

The case remains open and under investigation by the Virgin Island Police Department Traffic Investigation Bureau, St. Croix District.
