Berneza E. Callender-Williams

Berneza E. Callender-Williams, better known as “Myza,” died on Sunday, June 30. She was 91 years old.

Myza is survived by her sons Ricardo “Yasha” Willimas Jr., and Rueben A. Williams; Daughters Nora M. Willians (Ian E. Williams), Golda Hendricks (Viggo Hendricks), Lavonne M. Joshua (Laurence Joshua-deceased), Lynda M. Williams-Harrigan (Henry T. Harrigan) and Patricia E. Williams. Grandsons- Aubrey A. Gerard Jr., Omari A. Williams, Jehrel K. Williams, Iniko H. Williams (Judica Williams), Amal Williams, Jamal Warner (Deceased), Netsa Williams, Nitsuh Williams, Akin Williams, Akello Williams, Kareem Hendricks (Wendy Hendricks) Granddaughters- Nataki Williams, Ishanna Williams, Nabinghi Williams, Jehrelle Warner-Williams, Desta Williams, Keffita Williams, Niku Williams, Iquik Williams, Nyasha Hendricks, Kheema L Willis, Anika E Willis, Kayla M. Williams, Brianna C. Quintyne, Ayanna K. Joshua, Cierra N. Joshua, and Shenelle M. Joshua, RN.

Brothers- Wilbur K. Callender (Joyce), Rohlann L. Callender, Caswil Callender (Jackie); Sister- Mercedes Jurgen (Albert Jurgen) 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Special Friends- Jennifer Johnson, Gloria Gifft, Michael “Mikey” Thomas, Grace Gregory, Gloria Joseph (STX), Edith Haynes, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Congregation, We from Upstreet (WEFUS), and AARP.

Myza’s Celebration of Life services are as follows: The first viewing will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home from 4 p.m.–6 p.m. The second viewing will be held at All Saints Cathedral on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, beginning at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., with Funeral Services beginning at 10 p.m. The service will be live-streamed at eternalviewing.com. Funeral Arrangements are by Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
