Standard Aviation St. Thomas was named the top fixed-base operator (FBO) in the Caribbean, according to theĀ April issue of Aviation International News (AIN), released Monday.

This esteemed honor is awarded by voters in the publicationā€™s annual FBO survey. With 5.0 being a perfect score across five categories, Standard Aviation received an average rating of 4.6. Professional Pilot magazine readers also voted Standard Aviation the number one FBO in the Caribbean in the 2022 PRASE Survey, according to the press release.

ā€œWe are elated to see our luxury facility and top-tier customer service recognized in a global spotlight once again,ā€ said Standard Aviation, LLC Member Shaun Miller. ā€œTo receive another industry magazineā€™s highest honor for the Caribbean region is a testament to the work our outstanding team has done for U.S. Virgin Islands tourism. A huge thank you to our Standard Aviation team members who continue to excel daily.ā€

This yearā€™s FBO survey was the 43rd annual issued by AIN, with ballots counting cumulatively since 2015. Voters submitted ratings in five categories: line service, passenger amenities, pilot amenities, facilities, and customer service representatives. Since opening the world-class facility at Cyril E. King Airport in July 2020, this is the first year Standard Aviation has been named to the prestigious list, the press release stated.

Virgin Islands Port Authority Executive Director Carlton Dowe, who supervises the territoryā€™s airports, commented, ā€œOn behalf of the Port Authority, we applaud the Standard Aviation team for receiving this honor. Every day they go above and beyond to achieve the five-star service level private jet clientele expect.ā€

In addition to AINā€™s regional honor, Standard Aviationā€™s 4.6 average rating also puts the St. Thomas facility in the top 20 percent of FBOs in the Americas. It is the singular Caribbean FBO to land a position on this sought after list, the release stated.
