St. Thomas Man Shot While Walking to Vehicle

A St. Thomas man was shot in Anna’s Retreat while walking from his house to his vehicle, the V.I. Police Department reported.

On Thursday, the Criminal Investigation Bureau was dispatched to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center Emergency Room concerning a possible gunshot victim. Upon arrival, the CIB spoke with a Black male victim receiving medical attention for his injury, according to the police report.

The victim explained that while at his residence, he was walking to his vehicle, which was parked in the parking lot, when he heard several shots fired and realized that he had sustained an injury, the police report stated.

This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is urged to contact 911, the Police Chief’s Office or Detective S. Rhymer of the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 or Crime Stoppers V.I. at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
