A St. Thomas man has been arrested for sexual assault, the V.I. Police Department reported.
On Sunday at approximately 3:47 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital in reference to a rape. At 10:00 p.m., Deurys de los Rios, 19, was arrested after being positively identified by the victim as the person who sexually assaulted her, according to the police report.
He faces charges of rape in the first degree and disturbance of the peace. De los Rios was booked, processed, and turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing. His bail was set to $100,000, the report stated.
