After a full night of competition, 23-year-old Na’Zirah Armstrong won Miss St. Croix Festival Queen 2023-2024 on Thursday. For the first time ever at the Festival Village, four ladies competed head-to-head for the coveted title of Miss St. Croix Festival Queen. Armstrong, however, reigned supreme as she graced the stage with confidence, poise and energy that dazzled the judges.

Along with the title of Miss St. Croix Festival Queen, Armstrong won Best Ambassadorial Culture Dress, Best Talent, and Best Evening Wear.

Armstrong is a 2021 graduate of the University of the Virgin Islands and obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with an English concentration. Presently, she is an environmental educator at the V.I. Waste Management Authority. Armstrong has now earned the privilege of participating in a busy festival season along with an even busier year as queen.

The crowd cheered for their favorite contestant, wore their colors and painted their faces in support. Chairs lined up on the grounds of the Festival Village and some viewers brought their own chairs to sit and enjoy the competition.

Armstrong’s fellow contestants put on an amazing show in a tough competition to the very end.  Coming in third runner-up was Shantelle Esprit, while second runner-up went to Tyler Valmont and fourth place went to Alayah Phipps. Valmont also secured Miss Intellect, and Phipps snagged Most Photogenic, Viya’s People’s Choice and Miss Popularity.
