Gilbert A. Gerard Dies at 73

Gilbert A. Gerard died on Thursday, Oct. 19, at the age of 73.

He is survived by his brother, Alvin “Bello” Richards; nephews: Aubrey A. Gerard Jr., Carl Gerard, Albion Gerard, Kelvin Gerard, Delroy Gerard, Alfred Gerard, Ernest Gerard Jr. and Clarence Nibbs Jr.; and nieces: Charlene Gerard, Cerise Gerard, Lurlene Gerard, Elizabeth Gerard, Diane Gerard, Janice Gerard, Jackie Gerard, Carie Gerard, Laurie Gerard and Thalia David.

She is also survived by great nieces: Jashema Joseph Letang, Jahkila Joseph, Jahmesha Joseph, Jahlema Henry and Jahkeema Richards; great nephew, Jahmeil Abbott; and special friends: Lenoice Donovan, Mable Estrada, Magdalene George and Linda LaMotta.

The first viewing will be held from 4-6 p.m., Tuesday. Dec. 5, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory Services.

The second viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6, followed by the funeral service celebrating her life at 10 a.m. at Shiloh Seventh-day Adventist Church. Interment will be in Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay.
