Altercation in Frenchtown Results in Shots Fired

An altercation between two people resulted in shots being fired at a bar on St. Thomas, the V.I. Police Department reported.

On Sunday, around 1:25 a.m. VIPD officers were dispatched to the Jungle Bar in Frenchtown. When they arrived on scene, officers spoke with management, who explained that a disturbance occurred at their establishment involving two patrons, a man and a woman. Management also explained that although their security attempted to separate the two, the incident escalated quickly, where shots were fired, and people fled the area, according to the police report.

This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is urged to contact 911, Detective S. Rhymer of the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 or Crime Stoppers V.I. at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
