Sibling Dispute Leads to Strangulation

A St. Thomas man allegedly strangled his sister during a family dispute, the V.I. Police Department reported Tuesday.

On Monday, at about 5:30 p.m., Andrew R. Eusebe, 38, was placed under arrest after his sister identified him as the person who strangled her, causing injuries during a verbal dispute at their family’s residence. The victim stated that several citizens in the area had to intervene by pulling Eusebe’s hands from around her throat, according to the police report.

Eusebe turned himself into the Domestic Violence Unit after admitting to assaulting his sister on July 29. He was charged with assault in the second degree (DV) and disturbance of the peace (DV), the police report stated.

This case is presently under investigation by the Domestic Violence Bureau. Anyone having information about this crime can notify the Domestic Violence Bureau at (340)774-2211 ext. 5535.
