Crime of the Week: Two Recent Robberies

Crime Stoppers is focusing on two crimes this week including the armed robbery of a minor.

On Sunday, Feb. 27, at 2:00 p.m., Detectives on St. Thomas responded to an armed robbery that occurred on Feb. 26, in the vicinity of the Caribbean Cinema, St. Thomas. The victim, a minor male, was at the movie theater with his friends and family. The victim said he was approached by several males wearing full ski masks. The victim said one male placed a gun at his head and told him to remove his gold Gucci chain and then the suspects fled the area in a dark-colored Acura.

On Monday, Jan. 23,  police were dispatched to the area of Bordeaux regarding a robbery. The victims stated while in their home, they heard a knock on the door, and said the suspect said they had a package to deliver. The victim stated she opened the door and the suspect barged into the home and placed a “gun” to her face. 

The suspect ransacked her bag removing the money before leaving the home. None of the victims sustained injuries or had any additional information they could share.  Please note that the suspect/suspects are still at large.
