Photo Focus: From Colonel to Brigadier General, Herstory is Made

Col. Sally F. Petty, assistant adjutant general of the Virgin Islands National Guard, was promoted to Brigadier General at SFC Leonard B. Francis Readiness Center, St. Thomas, on Saturday.

As Women’s History Month is celebrated during March, Petty is recognized as the first female assistant adjutant general of the VING.

During her remarks, she stated, “Believe that you can make history by giving yourself the greatest chance to achieve.”.
