A man on St. Thomas was shot at while walking Monday by a passenger in a vehicle, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Police were dispatched to Roy L. Schneider Hospital regarding a shooting victim. When they arrived, the victim stated that while they were walking toward the Crown Mountain area, a black Toyota SUV, possibly a RAV-4 with heavily tinted windows, approached him. The victim stated that without any warning, the passenger in the rear seat of the vehicle got out and began shooting at him with a handgun, according to the police report.

The victim stated he was struck in the right knee and collapsed to the ground. The victim said that he was struck by the person in the rear passenger seat of the vehicle, who was wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt tied across the face, long black polo sleeve shirt, and black cargo pants, the police report stated.

The suspect approached the victim and stated, “Give me Everything!”. The suspect removed several rings, a necklace, iPhone, diamond earrings, cash, and a bracelet. The suspect then got back into the vehicle and left the area. The victim was later transported to the hospital by a family member for treatment, police said.
