Crime Stoppers Needs Your Help

On April 22, a female citizen called 911 and reported that while cutting grass on a private road in Crown and Hawk, she smelled a foul odor. The citizen went on to state that as she continued to cut grass, she observed an unresponsive female lying in the bushes. The female has been identified as Ms. Eduviges Mercedes Amparo by her next of kin.

On Nov. 30 at around 1:19 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of shots fired and someone calling for help on the Queen Mary Highway near Estate Whim, Frederiksted. VIPD Officers traveled to the area and discovered an unresponsive Black male and a wounded Caucasian male, both suffering from gunshot wounds. The Black male, who’s believed to be in his 30’s, was identified as Jakari Charles, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Caucasian male was transported to the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital for treatment, where he was listed in stable condition.
