Home Invasion on St. John Leads to Assault, Police Say


Two people were assaulted in their home on St. John on the weekend, the V.I. Police Department reported.

A man and woman arrived at the police station in Cruz Bay on Saturday morning to report that three men entered their Estate Bethany residence with guns Friday night, according to the VIPD.

The victims told police that the men forced them onto the floor and demanded their valuables. The man said he was assaulted by one of the men, causing injury. The man and woman further stated that the men ransacked the apartment and fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is urged to contact 911, Criminal Investigation Bureau Detective J.
