Division of Personnel Host Successful Career Expo & Mixer

On Aug. 25, the Division of Personnel held a Career Expo & Mixer at the UVI Sports & Fitness Center, allowing community members to apply and interview for 150+ job vacancies.

Attendees had the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions that included building resumes, enhancing job interview skills, dressing for success, and learning about employment services for persons with disabilities in the USVI. On-site interviews were also held for individuals looking for a career. In addition, many attendees had the opportunity to speak directly to present representatives.

This event featured over 25 participating government & semi-autonomous agencies. This includes The Office of the Government, The Virgin Islands (VI) Police Department, the Bureau of Corrections, the Law Enforcement Planning Commission, the Judicial Branch of the VI, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Planning & Natural Resources, Virgin Islands Fire Services, Department of Sports, Parks, and Recreation, WTJX, VI Energy Office, Department of Property and Procurement, VI Port Authority, Housing Finance Authority, Bureau of Information Technology, Office of the Lieutenant Governor, Government Employees Retirement System of the Virgin Islands, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Office of Management and Budget, Department of Finance, Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs, Department of Education, Department of Health, Schneider Regional Medical Center, Department of Labor, Virgin Islands Next Generation, Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency, VI Water and Power Authority, Department of Public Works, Magen’s Bay, VI Waste Management, and the Office of Gun Violence Prevention.

The next Career Expo & Mixer will be held on Aug. 31 at the UVI Great Hall from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. on St.Croix.
