St. John Woman Charged with Grand Larceny

A St. John woman was charged and arrested on Friday for grand larceny, obtaining money by false pretense, and forgery, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Dalique Moses, 24, allegedly stole checks, and endorsed, forged, and cashed two checks totaling $2,000, according to the victim, who alerted the VIPD on Wednesday that three checks had been stolen from his checkbook at his place of employment.

On Friday, Merchants Commercial Bank notified the VIPD when Moses was present in the bank attempting to cash a third check in the amount of $3,000, the police reported. Moses was apprehended at the bank and turned over to the Economic Crime Unit.

Moses’ bail was set at $20,000. She was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending her advice of rights hearing.
