CIB Investigating a Non-Fatal Early Morning Stabbing

On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, VIPD officers responded at 4:30 a.m. to a call the 911 Emergency Call Center received about a Black male stabbed in the neck and head area in Old Michelle Motel in Contant on St. Thomas.  

According to the VIPD, the officers met the victim at the Schneider Regional Medical Center, who was being treated for the injuries sustained to the neck area.  

The victim told the detectives he was attacked by an unknown male while sleeping. The victim also stated that he ran toward the Sunrise Cove Apartments for help after being attacked. The victim suffered a deep laceration on the right side of his neck, a deep laceration from the back to the front of his head, and a laceration to the face. 

This incident is an ongoing investigation.
