On Thursday, May 26, 2022, a Criminal Investigation Bureau Detective went to the Lanai Restaurant at Limetree on St. Thomas to serve an arrest warrant to 28-year-old Kishan Mootooveran for allegedly sexually assaulting a female on January 27, 2022, in the Limetree area.
On Thursday, May 26, 2022, at around 8:00 p.m., Kishan Mootooveran, a bartender at the Lanai Restaurant, was served an arrest warrant. Mootooveran was issued a copy of the warrant and taken into custody. Mootooveran was charged with rape 1st, unlawful sexual contact, sexual contact 3rd, assault 3rd, simple assault, and kidnapping.
His bail was set at $200,000, but unable to post bail, Kishan Mootooveran was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections.
