Woman’s Decomposed Body Found; CIB Suspects Foul Play

A body was found Tuesday on Midland Road near the Moravian Church in Estate Glynn on St. Croix, the V.I. Police Department reported Tuesday night.

An individual found the body when he went off the road to relieve himself, the police report said.

The body appears to be an African American woman between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds or more, the report said. She was wearing a royal blue blouse with white and pinkish flowers and a beige-colored bra with blue dotted designs, the police said. Her toes were painted with a French pedicure.

Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives suspect foul play and are awaiting the autopsy report to determine the cause of death, police said. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the CIB Tip-line at 340-778-4950, 911, or Crime Stoppers VI at 1-800-222-TIPS.
