SBA Gives Oriental Bank Award as USVI/PR 2022 Lender of the Year

As part of the Small Business Administration’s 2022 National Small Business Week Summit, Oriental Bank was awarded the 2022 Lender of the Year for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The award is given to the lender who made the most use of the SBA funds and guaranteed programs. The presentation was made at the Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center (VI-SBDC) on Thursday, May 5.

For more than 50 years, the US-SBA) has celebrated National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Accepting the award was Renissa Gutiérriez Pérez, Oriental’s business banking manager for the USVI. “It is a privilege to be able to help small businesses, not only in their entrepreneurship but to grow their business. Oriental is more than committed to continually providing opportunity and partnerships so that small businesses get the advice and services needed for their businesses.”
