“I am very pleased to announce that the V.I. Department of Health was awarded a grant totaling $1 million dollars from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for the purpose of strengthening Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) prevention and control.

“These funds have been allocated to assist our local health department in providing the necessary education and commensurate preventive measures against STDs in our territory. STD prevention and control efforts are essential, so I am hopeful that our local department of health will be able to utilize these funds in a way that will benefit our community.”
