Golden Rock McDonald’s Robbery Under Investigation

A man who broke into the drive-through window of the McDonald’s Restaurant in Estate Golden Rock on St. Croix stole an undisclosed sum of money and escaped, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to the police report, at 9:01 p.m. Sunday the 911 emergency call center dispatched officers to investigate a robbery in Golden Rock.

Arriving at the McDonald’s, officers were told a restaurant employee working the drive-through window reported that after taking orders, she closed the window and stepped away from the register. She was then approached by a slim male, wearing a black ski mask, black jacket, and jeans. Police said the suspect entered the restaurant by climbing through the drive-through window. He led the employee back to the register, forced her to open it, took cash and fled through the window.
