Man Wanted for Assault Turns Himself In

 

Rosier Smith, age 37 of Contant, turned himself in to police at roughly 9 a.m. Monday after learning he was wanted for a crime, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to police, Smith was arrested, charged with first-degree assault, attempted murder, and mayhem.

Smith allegedly assaulted a male victim by throwing him off a balcony on May 30.

Bail for Smith was set at $75,000. He was not able to post bail, and was subsequently turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
