Detectives Arrest STT Man Suspected of Grand Larceny

 

Detectives from the V.I. Police Department’s Economic Crimes unit on Monday arrested 29-year-old Chandler Heath of the Grandview Apartments on St. Thomas on a Superior Court warrant charging him with three offenses.

The arrest took place at 8:30 a.m. March 1.

According to the police report, an investigation initiated in November revealed that Heath took possession of and resold property belonging to a business without authorization. details of the crime were not reported.

Heath was charged him with with grand larceny, obtaining money by false pretenses, and embezzlement by a fiduciary.

Bail was set at $35,000, which Heath was unable to post. He was subsequently turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
