St. Croix Man Charged with Rape

The V.I. Police Department arrested 26-year-old Nicholas Greaves on a warrant from the Superior Court and charged him with first-degree rape. Greaves has no fixed address, police said.

According to police, the arrest took place at roughly 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23.

The police report does not include the place of the arrest, nor does it offer any information on the incident other than to note Greaves “allegedly physically assaulted, then forcibly raped, a female victim.” The time, day or location are not described in the police report.

Bail for Greaves was set at $100,000. Unable to post bail, he was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending his advice of rights hearing.
