Elijah Smith, a-27-year-old resident of the Harbor View Apartments in Christiansted, was arrested early Friday and on a warrant charged issued by the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands.
According to police, the arrest took place at 5:36 a.m. Feb. 5.
Smith was charged with first-degree burglary, simple assault and battery, possession of a dangerous weapon and destruction to property.
Smith was arrested for an incident that occurred Jan. 11 in Estate Golden Rock.
Bail for Smith was set at $100,000. He was not able to post bail, and was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending his advice of rights hearing.
