A man was treated on Sunday at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital for a gunshot wound he received in an incident involving four masked gunmen at Gallows Bay, the V.I. Police Department reported.
According to VIPD, at 5:07 p.m., Jan. 17, the 911 emergency call center dispatched officers to a discharging of shots in the Gallows Bay business district. Officers traveled to the area and found a Black male with a gunshot injury.
The victim, whose name was not released by police in accordance with department policy, was transported to the hospital via ambulance for treatment of a gunshot wound to his lower torso, and later released, police said.
The investigation into this incident revealed that a silver 4-door Suzuki sedan, which was occupied by four male individuals wearing clown masks, drove up to the victim and fired multiple shots at him, according to the police report.
