Estate Fydenhoj Woman Charged with Stealing Cell Phone

Michelyn Lespron, a 38-year-old resident of Estate Frydenhoj, was arrested Tuesday evening and charged with grand larceny and possession of stolen property.

According to police Lespron was arrested at 5:49 p.m., Jan. 5.

Police said an investigation revealed Lespron stole a mobile phone from her former employer in November 2020. The phone was tracked to Lespron’s location, and when detectives asked about the stolen property, she produced the phone. Subsequently, Lespron was placed under arrest.

Bail for Lespron was set at $20,000. Unable to post bail, she was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending her advice of rights hearing.

This case is still under investigation, and police urged anyone with information to call police by calling 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-778-2211 extension 5557, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477 (1-800-222-TIPS).
